Run for the Royal - March 13th 2005
Sam Boyd Stadium

After our first event brought out so many people on a 'so-so weather' weekend we wanted to make our next event( the first at Sam Boyd in quite sometime) something interesting and fun. Remember that we still need you to bring your friends and come out and have a good time with us to help keep our entry fees down…this will be our second (and determining) event for the board to decide to permanently rescind their vote to raise the entry fees If you want the rates to stay where they are, we need you to come out and participate…bring someone new and earn yourself some “Racer Bucks” to further defer your racing costs! And remember that first time drivers get 50% off their first entry (flyer).

So…here's what we have planned for our next event…since we live in “Sin City” and poker is now the rage across the entire nation, we thought that a good old fashioned Poker Run type event would be fun to do…. thus we bring you:

Run for the Royal

Here's how it will work…

Everyone that drives will be 'dealt', as a time slip, a playing card at the finish line with your car number and time written on the back. Using all of the cards you were dealt for the day, build your best poker hand (aces are high)! The top three five-card poker hands at the end of the day will receive …PRIZES!!!!

The Rules:

  • No cards will be dealt for re-runs…BUT… DNFs that counted towards one run will be dealt a card…
  • In the event of a tie, the driver with the lowest total time for the day will be the winner.
  • All cards in your hand must have your car number written on it, you cannot exchange cards with another driver.
  • We will be verifying hands and awarding prizes at the end of the event, after the cones have been stacked. You must be present to win.

Will you get “Bad Beat” or go “All In”? Can you make your hand stand up to the rest? Will you “Bluff” your way through the day, or “Fold” under all the pressure?? Even if you are new to this sport your chances are just as good as anyone else in the poker game so this should be fun and exciting for everyone!!!

So come and check out our newest venue at Sam Boyd and enjoy this “event-within-an-event” with us on the 13th, where the best hand wins!!
