New Year's Eve Bash 2000: The Millennium Show Countdown
This past New Year's Eve celebration was a 3d countdown extravaganza where Fremont Street's audience donned party hats, strings of beads, and glasses to view a show that was comin' at 'em!

Spinning 3d glasses suddenly appear to let you know it's time to put them on for the show!

Time is ticking away towards a new century.

These 3d clocks really make your head spin.

Uh-oh--the clocks are breaking apart!

Time pieces flying right towards you!

Scene Two

Time pieces flying right towards you!

Coils of light make for a high tech experience building towards that magical Millennial moment.

3d objects moving and spinning make for a wondrous moment on the street.

Those same spinning and moving objects get covered by a purple ooze.

Spinning 3d excitement twirls to the music.

.then comes apart over the street...

.revealing a high tech starfish hovering over 25,000 heads.

Scene Three

An explosion of lights as the countdown is about to begin.

We're partyin' in 1999 style--for the last time. Now the countdown begins.

Take your last breath of 1999, the countdown is almost over!

What's this?!? A Y2K sneak attack! The "BSOD" blue screen of death shuts down the Fremont Street Experience!

Ahh, another trick--this by Lasvegas.com, the official sponsor who brings the vault back to life after a few seconds of darkness.

Now for the real party--2000 stlye! It's the BIG BASH 2000!!!

Everyone on the street's screamin' to the high tech version of 'auld lang syne', the turn of the century, and to these 3d fireworks that welcome in the year 2000.
