In a dark and dirty alleyway, so dismal and full of rubbish that it appears unfit for rats, several bohemian cats begin a music-filled journey that will take them from the back alleys of American cities to the dazzle of Vegas.

The Swing Cat Band (in order of appearance):
Kool Cat:
Dullsville blues won't be the same without Kool.  He beat around the clubs there for some time as a down-and-out blues croonin' alley cat cabbie before starting the Swing Cat Blues band.  But now he's ready to venture out of Dullsville and take his singing on the road.  Surely some luck's on the way, because he's just met up with the most talented and hip blues cats ever!
Tickles:
Tickles is a gambler cat who once frequented the darkest Dullsville dives. He had a watch and a pair of shoes but lost those recently in a dice game while swearing, "I'm not gonna lose my hat, never!" He's really the perfect piano-playing gambler for the Swing Cat band.  That's cause he's ready to risk ticklin' them keys for the biggest boss cat around, Fat Cat of 'Fat Cat Records'.
"Charlie the Bird" Cat:
This saxophonist's best friend in the world is Styx, the Swing Cat band's drummer.  Once part of a blues cat duo peddling the streets for cash, "Charlie the Bird" Cat can blow a mean sound and once had fifty birds dancing in the streets mesmerized by the steely sweet voice of his sax.  "It was my best dinner I ever played for," says Charlie.
"Styx" the drummer:
"Charlie never ate much. When that cat blew his sax and brought in all those birds, someone had to pound 'em on the head and then eat 'em" belches Styx.  He met Charlie Cat playing the blues, eatin' crawfish claws and half-filled clam shells behind a seafood joint. After that he got stuck in the crazy alley cat life of wandering, singing, beatin' on drums and causing trouble.
Thumper Cat:
This bad cat bass player has one mean temper. He grew up in the South Paws dog turf of Chicago taking fish bones from big wharf rats just to stir trouble.  For kicks he would crash dog heads together with his big paws "to make that neat hollow coconut sound." You had to be rough where he was from.  Most cats just worked in the fish factories.  But not Thumper.  He's tough...
"Fingers" the Feline:
This good-looking smooth guitarist is only hanging around alleys in Dullsville because he was cut from the leading role in the latest Hollywood rock and roll B-movie extravaganza, "The Adventures of Cat Jack and Gator Bob."  A bit discouraged, Fingers recently gave up his movie career to re-enter his musical roots, revive some old blues sounds, and yes, to find a way to reach stardom.
Rudy the Road Cat:
You want to win a fight with the South Paws dog gang?  You can't without Rudy, the Swing Cat Band's extra-large roadie and driver. Nobody knows just where this boy's from.  Some say he was abandoned at a chemical factory as a kitten where toxic-enhanced kitty litter made him grow extra large.  Everyone in Kool's band is just glad he's around to help out...
