Below are the in progress photos of this mural. It was painted on 3 plywood boards and
installed. A Contractor then blended the concrete edges over the mural. This page also gives you an idea
of how much work goes into a large mural like this one.

Progress on July 23, 2008
Today is Cindy's Birthday, so she is taking a day or two or three off! |
 |
Cindy still needs to add the shadows and some details-
but the average viewing distance is over 100' so really not too much is needed.
I have a feeling that won't stop Cindy though! |
| |
|
July 27, Cindy is having a hard time remembering that the mural will be viewed from far away
and keeps adding more detail... |
| |

Finished with the spray paint, Cindy puts it back on the shelf...
Jean came over today to take a picture for this week's paper.
|
| |

July 28, with the back shelves basically finished, Cindy starts the foreground of the first panel.
(don't the light bulbs look real!?)
|
| |

Like a painted light bulb going off in Cindy's head,
she decides that it's time to start working on something else!

Please don't look too closely at the detail,
this mural is going to be seen from far away... Not Cindy's NORMAL style (which is usually very detailed)
and proving to be a difficult transition for her to make!

|
| |
Cindy adds another panel in the middle so the mural will fit the space better.
|

More shelves get stocked as products get blocked in and detailed with color.
|
| |

Starting to come together!

Cindy still needs to add the text to the shelves and highlights & shadows.

Aug. 14, More products get placed on the shelves.
|

Aug. 20- Cindy's adds too much detail and needs to get a move on!
She probably doesn't need to take 2 hours to paint a shop-vac box...
But hey, it looks pretty real! :)
|

Aug, 21- details get added to the right side shelves and gas cans are started-

Pat painted dots on the peg board today while Cindy painted bricks.
Next, Cindy will finish the bricks and add shadows while Pat paints holes for the shelving brackets, Thanks Pat!!!!!
