Institute of Las Vegas - CAD Instructor - 1999 through 2000
The Design Institute is an independent accredited school offering
degree programs in Architectural, Civil and Interior design disciplines.
I have been instructing AutoCAD levels 1 though 4, as well as teaching
an 'Introduction to Computers' class to prepare students for their
CAD classes. I have also designed course notes and am currently drawing
up outlines for the school's CAD program.
Casino
Displays (now Egads) - Las Vegas, NV. - CAD Designer - 1998 through 2000

Casino Displays is a manufacturer of mostly interior sign age for
casinos. These would be either used above machines or directional
signs. My duties were to take the designs and create files for use
on the computerized router and plasma cutter. I also did layout and
design of signs, including layouts for the cutting of vinyl. As well
as these responsibilities I prepared drawing packages for submittal
to the permitting department.In the later months, I also worked on
design concepts for our customers.
Owens Precision Fabricators - Las Vegas,

OPF is a sheet metal shop specializing in the manufacture of slot
machines and related parts. While working there, I designed parts
and laid them out for manufacture.
Serrot - Las Vegas, NV. Engineering
Assistant -1998 though 1999

Serrot has a large plant in Henderson for the manufacture of large-scale
plastic linings. I was hired in a temporary position to assist the
engineering department in the creation of a detailed plant layout.
I measured the shop and all of its components, drew it and assembled
a list of equipment for OSHA records.
Software Programs:
My strength lies in AutoCAD, but I also have a working knowledge
of a wide range of applications. I am familiar with AutoCAD (R13 to 2012) - Photoshop - Dreamweaver (web design)
- MS Word - MS Excel - Windows (2000, NT, XP, 7) - as well as just
about any other software you want to throw at me!

This was a full-time (30 hrs/week) program designed to give students
a solid background in the principles of mechanical engineering with an
emphasis on CAD/CAM. Course covered CAD Software, Calculus, Programming, Database Construction
among many others.
Summary of Work experience Prior to 1998:
My previous employment was in the photographic field, where I was working
for various labs and shops in the Vancouver (Canada) area. I worked in
management positions for nine years and managed a warehouse for a large
photo chain the last five years I was working in the industry. I left
the business to begin a two-year CAD/CAM Program at BCIT (as listed above)
