Presentation GraphicsGradient FillsIf you’ve ever used a program like CorelDraw, you’ve probably used their gradient fills to get a ‘render-like’ fill for an object for years. AutoCAD has finally joined the 21st century and added this tool. You are still somewhat limited, but at least you have that option.
You can choose between 1 or 2 colours and then use it like you would the hatch command. If you go to pick a colour, then you get the choice of indexed (AutoCAD Colour Index) or 24 bit true colour or choose a Pantone colour. These options are even available when you select colours for your layers Rendered LayoutsRight-click on a viewport, choose Shade Plot and you now options to print a rendering directly from your layout! No more exporting it and editing it in Paint or Photoshop. You could plot a variety of displays on a single sheet. ![]() ![]() Publishing a Drawing Set as DWFNow
you can create a multi page DWF file. Use the new Publish tool
to get this dialog box. This shot shows the layouts as options in a pulldown menu from
within the DWF viewer. Password Protected DrawingsWhen you save your drawing (Save as) you now have the option to password protect your drawing. Be warned – if you forget your password, it’s gone forever along with your drawing. In addition to Password, you can also add a digital signature to issue the drawing. A certificate authority, such as VeriSign can provide you with a digital ID. |
