Creating is my life. I don't know anything else. As far back as I can remember, I have been an Artist... I have been very fortunate to make a career of it and surround my life with it. Though my true love is sculpting, I also enjoy to paint. However, computer graphics usually pays the bills... which is good too.

I do have a problem though; there aren't enough hours in the day. Never enough tools or supplies at hand. And there is the "business end" of things that is all consuming at times and takes me away from what I would prefer to be doing, CREATING! Someday! Someday I'll find a Business Manager that likes to vacuum!

I have so many projects going on at once and even more that I want to start, just sitting there in the back of my mind, waiting for it's turn to be unleashed. It could be anything from painting a bug mural to sculpting a lion's head out of marble. The trick is to convince a client that they need "IT" as much as I want to make "IT"... whatever "IT" might be. So far in my career, my artwork has been directed by my clients. I never seem to have the time to create for myself and often wonder if I did, what would I do.

I have a very practical approach to what I make, it has to have purpose and function or I feel that I am wasting my time. I don't have much artwork hanging on my walls unless I think that it is very special. That kind of thing takes away from the mural that is suppose to be there... And the everyday things that you would find in a home, shouldn't be "everyday" they should speak to you, like a mosaic counter top in the kitchen or toilet paper holder made out of an old chain. These types of things are special... and they make you think or smile... this is what I enjoy about my life. This is what I'd like to share.

I've been wandering on and off the path of Photography for most of my life. I can't ever remember not having a camera. Now that I'm fully immersed in the digital world, I'm shooting more, and enjoying it more. For the most part I shoot landscapes and 'travel' shots.

Sometimes I don't know whether I travel to take photos, or travel for the sake of travelling, but I love exploring new places (with or without a viewfinder in front of me). Still the photos make the memories, and I try to capture what I'm feeling at the time.

On the other side of the coin is my CAD work. I went to school for 2 long years to learn AutoCAD (and several other subjects), and when I got out I found that I really didn't like drawing the same things over and over. I ended up teaching, and that in turn developed into myCADsite.com. myCADsite is one of the top websites for learning AutoCAD.

I enjoy sharing my knowledge via the web, and it's always great to hear from someone who couldn't afford formal training, get a start on a new career from my lessons. I hope to continue offering the lessons and expanding them, and maybe branching out into other software.

I live in the same colorful community where I was born 72 years ago, in the little village of Chester, Nebraska. It is the same community where my good husband Wilbert and I raised 6 children on the picturesque farm where he was born.

I’ve always loved God’s wonderful creations of nature. Then, in 2002, my youngest son gave me his old digital camera when he bought a new one. It was a 1.3 megapixel Olympus, and, after taking a few photos, I was quickly drawn into a new hobby.

I began taking photos around town for our local newspaper, and continue today on a larger scale. People seem to enjoy my human interest photos. As I walked about town looking for them, I saw so many beautiful scenes which I couldn’t resist trying to capture, and ended up with a wide array of photos. I'm so thankful for good eyes to enjoy this pastime.

Last year I completed a professional digital photography course which was difficult but rewarding... Now, I am looking forward to my biggest challenge – taking photos for my oldest granddaughter’s wedding. Now, I shoot with an 8.1 megapixel professional camera, and you won’t find me without my camera very often. Children around town call me, "The Picture Lady."

I hope that you enjoy my collection of photos and know that they are of God's creations, taken with a loving eye, through the lens of my camera.
