Respect for a diverse population is an integral component of my practice. I have experience working with many different cultures (various ethnicities and socioeconomic levels), as well as: Elderly; LGBTQ (Graduate project: Handbook on Counseling Gays and Lesbians); HIV/AIDS and chronic illness; and the creative/artistic community. I am empathetic to each individual’s unique traditions and values, providing therapy that is respectful and culturally sensitive.
Since each person is unique, I work from an eclectic theoretical orientation including, but not limited to, the following modalities: Humanistic, Interpersonal/Relational, Psychodynamic, Solution-Focused, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
