The Seed 9 Rally takes place this Saturday, November 5th where a contingent of Southwest based teams will tackle the dusty roads surrounding Jean, Nevada. The Seed 9 Rally is the opening round of the 2012 Rally America Southwest Regional Championship and will be the final event in the 2011 Bilstein Southwest RallyCup Series and California Rally Series.

The Bilstein USA Southwest RallyCup Series is providing cash prizes totaling at least $300 to 1st and 2nd place teams in each Rally America class who finish the event.

Interestingly this year’s Seed 9 Rally will see a pair of non-traditional rally vehicles competing against more familiar contingent of Subarus and Volkswagens. Jim Morris and Steve Palmieri, both from Lake Havasu City, AZ, will bring a 1983 Chevy Camaro RS. Bill Holmes from Mailibu, CA and Sean Gallagher from Santa Ana, CA will challenge Seed 9 in a 2011 Ford Raptor.
