Hotel de'Ville - and another

One of the more impressive buildings in the heart of Paris is the Hotel de'Ville or what the English speaking would call "City Hall". This is the political heart of Paris. The previous building on this site was witness to countless executions and the occasional 'drawing and quartering'. The bloodstains have been washed off offering a fine view and open square for modern travellers.
