WEEK 1:
The humans' training is coming along just fine. They seem quick to wipe up after me. There is an older slower dog here that doesn't want to play much. I jump on her head, but she just looks at me like I'm annoying her. So far I learnt that I can scream and yelp all night until one of them lets me out of my pen at 7:00am. Then I get to go outside and then help him read the paper. I like to run around and see if he'll jump up and follow me, (usually he does). He tries to stick these 'toys' in my mouth, but his toes taste so much better!
For the most part things are going well, except that I feel my name has been changed from "A-h-h-h Mac-c-c" to "MAC! NO!!!". I wish they'd make up their minds. My new hobby is finding leaves and sticks to chew on while I'm outside, and inside...well anything goes, eh?
That's about it for now. Not too exciting, now that I'm settling in from the move. Stay tuned . . .

WEEK 2:
I've just completed the second week of the human's training. The taller one, (Chew-Toy as I call him) seems to enjoy getting up an hour earlier every morning now. The other one (Butt-Slapper) doesn't seem to be much of a morning person. Now that I've settled in, I'm finding more and more stuff to do! They chewy plastic snakes that come out of the walls are great fun, and always get a response from the humans. They taste much better than the plastic crap they picked up at some 'pet' store.
Since they seem happier if I releive myself outside, I'm doing it more often (anything to shut them up)! They also took me to some weird place where I could smell other dogs. We sat in an office, then some human took me away, stuck a sharp thing in my butt and stole a stool! The nerve!!! It was bad enough being controlled with a noose around my neck, but that other stuff I could live without! Then Shi-ma came in (smelling MUCH better and looking pretty nice for a 16-1/2yr old). That was the excitement for the week, the rest was just playing, chewing, eating and sleeping. See ya next week!
WEEK 3:
Hm-mm...what a week! They put me in this big white bowl and drenched me in water! Then after that, they took a cloth and dried me off. What was that all about? Most of the week was quite uneventful. I'm still trying to releive myself outside, but I like leaving surprises for them around the house. Last night, Butt-slapper kept throwing a toy away, so I figured that I'd be nice and bring it back. So what does she do?? She throws it away AGAIN! So I bring it back to her...she throws it away AGAIN AND AGAIN until she throws it away so often, I eventually give up and leave it alone. There's no figuring these people, eh? Today they let me sleep in, so when they eventually let me out, I was ready to go! I played my favorite game: "The Snapping Jaws of Death!" It gets them going in morning, beleive me! Anyways, that's about it for this week, besides, I feel like having a dump on the carpet somewhere.......gotta 'go' ;)
WEEK 4:
Well, things are finally starting to settle down around here. I recently got the humans trained to to give me food after they say the word 'Sit'. I do have to park my butt on the ground before they fork it over though. I've also found that they don't like it when I play with Shi-ma. They've nailed my butt and locked me up on more than one occasion, but I can't help it!.....She's such a good target. I'm still chewing stuff and getting in trouble, but not as often as before. Either they're accepting me for who I am, or I'm learning THEIR ways! (hope not). Chew Toy has been taking me out for walks most days. Today we walked around the block and I saw lots of other dogs wanting to get out of their yards and saying some AWFUL things to me! Why can't we all just along? If we united, the humans wouldn't stand a chance!
Since they're isn't much going on these days, I think that I'll post these updates on a monthly basis. In the meantime, I want to start adding to my links page. Polly has been sending me some good links, so I think I'll get to it and provide a variety of links for ya'll.
So til next time.....Sit back and enjoy a good scratch!!

MONTH 4:
So, like I said....It was going to be a while until I got back to you. Things have changed around here. I'm getting much taller (check out my photos), I'm housebroken, I've learnt some chores and I now have the nickname DESTRUCTO!
Yesterday was my 4th (month) birthday, so we celebrated by going to the 'Dog Park'. I met my new pal Metro and about 50 other dogs. It was all quite overwhelming, and I felt a bit out of place since I was one of the youngest guys there. All in all we had fun and I can't wait to get back. I should have some photos posted soon.
One of my favorite things to do now is to get the morning paper for Chew-toy. He sends me out to the end of the driveway and I bring back the paper for him. He gets his paper, I get a treat....Its a win-win situation.
I made the mistake of 'modifying' one of Butt-slapper's new sandals Saturday. WHAT A MISTAKE!! Now it seems that I wrecked a good thing and they want to start disciplining me! They've got me one my toes after just one call to Ann. Read up on this and other tips on my training page.
I'm spending more time in my pen these days, but that's ok. I get to go out more and I LOVE going for rides in the Van. I'm over 30 pounds now have to be careful around Shi-ma or the evil can gets me.
That's all for now! Chow!!
