This was a commission I painted for a couple in California.
It was love at first sight for this couple, married 50 years now. This painting represents their love for each other, the beach at Cayucos, CA., the years of dance lessons, Phil’s love of his old beat up VW Bus, Irene’s tolerance of that same bus.
The stickers on the van symbolize their hobbies and careers. She is a Chemist and he is an Engineer who are now retired and still travel the world, as seen in the flags on the windshield.
